Welcome to BERNINA Sew N Quilt Studio, your tri-state authorized BERNINA dealer covering SE Tennessee, NW Georgia, & NE Alabama. 

We are conveniently located in the Shallowford Plaza at 5950 Shallowford Road, one block west of 153, where we are distanced from the mall traffic. 

We carry the full line of BERNINA sewing machines and accessories.  We are also the area’s authorized Handi-Quilter dealer with the Fusion, Avante, and the very popular Sweet Sixteen ready to be test-driven and/or rented.  We also carry sewing, serging, and embroidery supplies; quality sewing furniture; backing and batting; pre-cut fabric, kits, and notions.

In addition to a variety of classes, designed for the beginner to the experienced stitcher, we offer free LIFETIME lessons (MyBERNINA classes) for any machine purchased in our store.

This quilt, pieced by Nancy Packard of Chattanooga, depicts the tornadoes that devastated Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee April 27, 2011. All the material in this quilt was salvaged from Sew-Bee-It, in Ringgold, GA, which was destroyed in the tornado that fateful day. 
The center section represents the main tornado, surrounded by red pieces indicating the death and destruction while the green pieces are the grass under the fallen trees. The main tornado spawned off eight other twisters shown by the eight diamonds, the hail shown as circular shapes with the wind represented by the swirling stitching throughout the quilt. Finally the purple, spreading out in all directions, symbolizes the hope and promise of tomorrow.
